Mood Matters

A new smartphone program for Depression

We all know what it’s like to feel sad, lonely, or frustrated on occasion. But sometimes these feelings become more prolonged and get in the way of everyday living. Next time we feel our mood slipping, Ginger.io wants us to remember the powerful tool that we have at our fingertips day and night -- our smartphones.

If you’re like 91% of Americans, you keep your mobile device within reach 24 hours a day. Given this, how you use your smartphone can actually provide significant insights into your daily patterns and how they impact your health.

Mood MattersTM is an innovative program that uses smartphones to better understand the causes and progression of depression. The goal of our 6 month study is to better understand the patterns of people living with depression to identify key behavior triggers that will help people get support at the optimal time. Participation in Mood Matters is completely free and will take less than a few minutes a day. At Mental Health America we’re excited to share this leading-edge study with you and encourage you to check it out.
