Mental Health America Bell of Hope Memorial |
In Loving Memory of
I
met Miss Beverly at a homeless shelter for women living with mental
illness, where I'd interned this past year for graduate school. Miss
Beverly may have lived some of her life very alone... But I hope
she knew before leaving us how much she was loved by the family she
had at our shelter. She taught all of us about strength, friendship,
kindness, and serenity. I know that you said that God brought me
to you at the shelter, Miss Beverly, but the truth is, God brought
you to me. I learned more from you and the ladies at the shelter
than I ever could from any class at school. I'll always miss you.
