Ann Boughtin

Ann Boughtin is senior vice president and chief marketing officer of CareGuide.  Ms. Boughtin is the former executive director of AdvoCare, a subsidiary of Magellan Health Services, which is the company that manages all behavioral health services for the TennCare program in Tennessee. 

She has also been a manager of public and private organizations for more than 20 years.  During that time, she worked in both the private sector and government, developing, implementing and managing behavioral health services.  She has worked with start-up companies, technology firms, state agencies and nonprofit providers consulting on change management, strategic planning, business process re-engineering, marketing and general management. 

In recent years, Ms. Boughtin has served as vice president of Business Development for Comprehensive Neuroscience, Inc. and was vice president of Managed Care for Psychiatric Solutions, Inc., a company providing behavioral healthcare management services.  She also worked as vice president of Marketing and Business Development for Centromine, a privately held technology company, providing an ASP enterprise solution for the behavioral health industry. 

She began her career as assistant executive director of a large nonprofit agency, and went on to spend 15 years in the New York State Office of Mental Health, where she worked as one of the 50 top executives.  She is a member of the American College of MH Administration and is immediate past president of the MHA of Middle Tennessee, an affiliate of Mental Health America. 

In 2003, she was appointed to the Advisory Committee of Mental Health America.  Ms. Boughtin received her education at the State University of New York at Brockport, and holds a bachelor of science and a master of arts in political science, and a master’s in public administration.
