2017 Zarrow Mental Health Symposium — Challenging Injustice & Discrimination
Mental Health Association Oklahoma is proud to present the 23rd Annual Zarrow Mental Health Symposium — Challenging Injustice and Discrimination. Hosted at the Cox Business Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 5th & 6th, the Association invites you to participate in one of the premier mental health conferences in the United States. Together with over 800 attendees from across the country, the Symposium will explore the ways in which systemic injustice and discrimination, enforced through policy and interpersonal actions, have substantial impacts on mental health and can result in trauma, distress, and varying mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, addiction, substance abuse, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
The Symposium is a unique opportunity to meet and connect with other like-minded attendees who are inspired to discuss the realities of injustice and discrimination and develop solutions to address these realities and long-term implications on mental health. Plus, you can receive valuable CEU and ethics hours!
