MHA’s Back to School Toolkit - developed each year and released in mid-August in anticipation of the start of the new school year - provides free resources, tools, tips, and information on early identification themes and Before Stage 4 messaging.

MHA's 2019 Back to School Toolkit will be available for download on this page on August 23, 2019.

This year's toolkit will provide information and resources for adults and young people about the issues of stress and loneliness, which may lead to symptoms of mental health conditions if not addressed early, or before Stage four.

The toolkit will include:

  • Fact sheets and infographics on stress and loneliness for adults and children/teens
  • Sample social media posts and profile images
  • Drop-In article for school newsletters
  • Key messages and statistics
  • Posters for use in schools and other places where children and teens spend time
  • Sample press release

Materials from previous Back To School Toolkits can still be accessed through our website.
