Associate Membership

Stand with Mental Health America and help address mental health concerns #B4Stage4.


Mental Health America's Associate Membership program provides you with a direct connection to Mental Health America and its network of more than 200 affiliates in 41 states, 6,500 affiliate staff, over 10,000 volunteers, and a myriad of partner organizations. 

Membership Criteria

  • Open to national and international for-profit and non-profit organizations and practitioners 
  • Organization and/or practitioner must be supportive of MHA mission
  • Open to all professions and fields
  • Services provided by organization and/or practitioner reflect MHA's Before Stage 4 philosophy

Mental Health America affiliates receive significant additional benefits, including technical assistance, steeper discounts to events and activities, affiliate-exclusive communications, and grant opportunities. If your organization is a 501c3 with an interest in becoming a MHA affiliate, contact our Affiliate Relations Department.


Associate membership costs $500 a year for non-profit organizations, and $1,000 for all other organizations.


Applications can be submitted at any time of the year. MHA reserves discretion in approving applications. Associate membership status is effective Jan. 1 through Dec. 31. You will receive an invoice each year when it is time to renew your membership.

Project Return Peer Support Network Logo


Project Return Peer Support Network was started by Mental Health America of Los Angeles in 1979 as California’s first staff facilitated peer support program. Since its humble beginnings it has evolved into a completely peer run nonprofit agency. With an emphasis on promoting wellness, person growth and self-determination for people living with mental illness. We provide a wide range of services that include 120 self-help groups each week throughout all of Los Angeles County, an after hours warm line, two Spanish speaking programs, a peer respite house, on-line support groups, a community integration program focused on providing peer support in more restrictive environments and a locally recognized 6-week rigorous Peer Professional Training and Placement program, visit



The Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting sexual health and addressing the escalating consequences of problematic sexual behaviors affecting individuals, families and communities.
